David McCartney (born 1880 in Ayrshire) was a Scottish centre half who made three appearances for Chelsea in the latter half of the 1906-07 season, having joined from Watford at the start of the campaign. A physically imposing player, his first team opportunities proved to be limited and he moved to Northampton Town in the summer of 1907. [1]
