Pre-Chelsea career
Jesse had been with Chelsea since his early teens, having previously spent time with Portsmouth.
Chelsea career
Jesse, a left footed midfielder who is something of a set piece specialist, began his scholarship at Chelsea in July 2012 having been a regular for the Under-16 team. He was a regular feature during the 2012-13 season, making 18 appearances before earning five outings at Under-21 level, no mean feat for a first year. His set-piece expertise proved valuable with three of his four goals coming from dead ball situations.
After not being offered a professional deal at the end of his first season as a scholar, Jesse parted company with the club a year ahead of the end of his scholarship.
International
Jesse has represented England at Under-18 level, earning a maiden call-up in early 2013.
