Nathan Allan de Souza, known as Nathan, (born 13 March 1996 in Blumenau, Brazil) is an attacking midfielder who currently plays for Chelsea, having signed in May 2015.

Before Chelsea
Nathan caught the eye of Chelsea's South American scouts in international youth competitions and after breaking into the first team squad at Atlético Paranaense, he was signed to a five-year deal in May of 2015 for an undisclosed fee.
Chelsea career
On July 10th 2015 it was announced that Nathan would spend the season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem. He started well with goals against Roda and Groningen before falling out of favour and ultimately seeing his season ended by a serious back injury, but in July 2016 it was confirmed that he would return to the Gelredome for a second season. He performed very similarly again, doing well in bursts but never consistently, and joined Amiens at the start of the 2017-18 campaign in an ill-fated move that was terminated midway through the season. A switch to Belenenses yielded goals against Benfica and Porto in a promising yet short stay.
A return to Brazil followed in 2018, this time with Atlético-MG, where a permanent deal was struck in June 2020.
