Pre-Chelsea career
Nicolas agreed to join Chelsea from FC Poitiers as a young teenager, putting pen to paper on an agreement that would become official upon turning 16.
Chelsea career
Nicolas was limited to just 14 appearances as a scholar over two years due to competition, injury (most seriously a shoulder injury suffered in 2018) and international duty. The same issues affected him through into 2019-20, when he played just four times in all competitions.
He joined Vitória Guimaraes on a permanent deal in July 2020/
International
Nicolas has represented the Ivory Coast at Under-23 level and has received a full international call-up without being capped.
