Turn- und Sportverein München von 1860, commonly known as TSV 1860 München or 1860 Munich in English, is a German sports club based in Munich, Bavaria. Originally founded as a physical fitness and gymnastics association, a football department was created on 6 March 1899 and played its first matches against other squads three years later. The club have been German champions once, and have won the German cup twice.
Chelsea met 1860 Munich in the 1965-66 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup fourth round, the only European tie between the clubs. Chelsea won 3-2 on aggregate against the German side, who had been European Cup Winners' Cup runners-up the previous season, and would go on to win their only Bundesliga title that season.
