Pre-Chelsea career
Tika grew up at Anderlecht, the club of his father Charly Musonda Sr. He is the middle of three footballing brothers, with both Lamisha Musonda and Charly Musonda making their way through the club's ranks.
He did not make a single appearance for Anderlecht's first team before departing in 2012.
Chelsea career
Tika moved to England with his two brothers when Chelsea expressed a determined interest in signing the youngest of the trio, Charly. Father Charly Sr had previously told both Barcelona and Manchester City that if they wanted to sign Charly, they had to accomodate the others in a package deal, but neither party was prepared to.
Chelsea were, and they concluded the deal in June 2012. After a slow start to the season, Tika earned playing time primarily due to his versatility in being able to play at right-back, centre-back, or in a defensive midfield capacity. However, he made no appearances in the first half of the 2013-14 season and despite surfacing to play a few games early in the spring, suffered a broken leg weeks later to once again sideline him. It ruled him out for the entirety of the 2013-14 season and the two subsequent campaign with his career at one stage under threat 1. He was released at the end of his contract in June 2016.
International
Tika has no international representation to date. He is eligible for both Belgium and Zambia.
