Pre-Chelsea career

Trevoh joined Chelsea as an Under-9. He is the younger brother of Nathaniel Chalobah.

Chelsea career

Trevoh made his Under-18 debut in March 2014 at the tender age of 14 and earned the trust of the coaching staff to line up in every position across the back four before the end of the season. He became further involved during 2014-15 and did much the same, then readily established himself as a first-choice under Joe Edwards as a scholar. Leaned on increasingly towards the end of both victorious runs, he featured impressively in the 2015-16 FA Youth Cup and 2015-16 UEFA Youth League, with Adi Viveash a particular fan also involving him in Under-21 football whilst still a 16 year-old.

Turning 17 heading into the 2016-17 season, he became Viveash's first-choice centre-back and featured in all but three matches whilst asserting himself as a prospect of some potential in the Premier League 2. He dropped back down to Under-18 level for the 2016-17 FA Youth Cup campaign, scoring against Manchester City in the Final to win the competition for a second consecutive year, and provided stability and leadership late in the season to help the Under-18s clinch their own league title for the first time in 33 years.

A regular in the Development Squad in 2017-18, he also helped the Blues to another UEFA Youth League Final despite ongoing uncertainty over his future. A new contract was eventually signed in March 2018, however, and a first loan move to Ipswich Town followed three months later ahead of the 2018-19 season. He spent most of the season in midfield, repeating the feat at Huddersfield Town a year later, before joining Lorient on loan in France for the 2020-21 season.

2021–22 Season

Chalobah’s breakthrough year began with his senior debut in the UEFA Super Cup win over Villarreal, followed by scoring on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace. He cemented his place in Thomas Tuchel’s back three, regularly deployed at right-sided centre-back. He scored his first Champions League goal against Juventus in a 4–0 win. His composed defending, use of the ball under pressure, and aerial presence made him one of the most reliable defenders in the squad.

2022–23 Season

He featured more regularly during this campaign, playing 25 times in the Premier League and over 30 in all competitions. Though Chelsea endured a turbulent season with multiple managerial changes, Chalobah remained consistent, offering defensive cover at centre-back and occasionally at right-back. While not contributing in goals, his reliability in possession and defensive work kept him in contention for a starting role throughout.

2023–24 Season

A hamstring injury early in the campaign restricted Chalobah’s involvement. He returned to the squad later in the season under Mauricio Pochettino and made 13 league appearances, scoring once. He appeared 17 times overall and was often used as part of a rotated back line. Despite fitness setbacks, his performances were solid whenever called upon.

2024–25 Season

Chalobah began the season fit but was linked with a summer transfer. He was loaned to Crystal Palace for the 2024-25 season. However, because of numerous injuries in the defensive line, Chelsea decided to recall Chalobah for the rest of the season. He gradually returned to the first-team picture. While not a regular starter, he was involved in cup and European fixtures and remained a valued squad member. His experience and versatility continued to make him a dependable option in defence.

International

In June 2025, Chalobah was called up to the England senior national team and made his debut later that month. His selection marked a special milestone, as he joined his older brother Nathaniel in representing the country at senior level, becoming one of the few sibling duos to do so in the post-war era.
