Pre-Chelsea career
Harvey joined Chelsea from West London rivals Fulham as an Under-13. A technically gifted midfielder capable of operating centrally or on the wing, he progressed through the youth ranks and became a key figure for Chelsea’s U18 and U21 sides, earning recognition for his vision, close control, and creativity.
Chelsea career
Vale made his senior Chelsea debut in December 2021 in a League Cup match against Brentofrd. He mostly featured in domestic cup competitions during the season, gaining valuable first-team exposure while continuing to impress at academy level.
In September 2023, Vale joined Hull City on loan for the season. His time in the Championship was disrupted by injury, limiting his opportunities for regular football. Despite the setbacks, the spell provided exposure to senior league football and the physical demands of the division.
Vale moved on loan to Bristol Rovers for the 2023–24 season. Operating primarily in midfield, he enjoyed a more consistent run of matches, contributing goals and assists and re-establishing rhythm after his previous injury-affected campaign.
Harvey remained at Chelsea for the first half of the 2024–25 season but found opportunities extremely limited amid strong competition in attacking and midfield positions. He made only two senior appearances across all competitions, both coming in Conference League fixtures. With first-team minutes hard to come by and his development requiring regular football, Chelsea agreed to let him leave the club in January 2025, when he joined Queens Park Rangers to continue his career.
International
Vale has represented England at youth level, featuring for the U18s and U19s. His performances at academy and senior loan level have kept him within England’s wider youth development framework.
