Olympiacos F.C., also known simply as Olympiacos, Olympiacos Piraeus or by its full name Olympiacos C.F.P. (Olympiacos Club of Fans of Piraeus), is a Greek association football club, part of the Olympiacos CFP multi-sport club, based in Piraeus, Athens. Olympiacos is the most successful club in Greek football history, having won more domestic honours than any other side - over sixty in total. Olympiacos was founded on 10 March 1925, in the port of Piraeus, when the members of "Piraikos Podosfairikos Omilos FC" (Sport and Football Club of Piraeus) and the "Piraeus Fans Club FC" decided to dissolve the two clubs in order to establish a new unified one, with an emblem depicting the profile of an Olympic winner. The club's home is the Karaiskaki Stadium, the venue for the 1971 European Cup Winners' Cup Final in which Chelsea beat Real Madrid in a replay.
Chelsea first met Olympiacos in the 2007-08 UEFA Champions League first knockout round. A goalless draw in Piraeus left the tie finely balanced, but Chelsea took control in the second leg, a sixth minute Michael Ballack goal setting the Blues on their way to a comfortable 3-0 victory.
