Pre-Chelsea career

Levi joined Chelsea as an Under-8.

Chelsea career

Levi was a regular for the youth team during his first season as a scholar and finished the campaign playing regularly for the Development Squad despite only turning 17 late in the season. His campaign was brought to a premature end by injury just before the cancellation of remaining fixtures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Colwill’s first senior season came on loan in the Championship with Huddersfield Town. He made 32 appearances, scored 2 goals, and was a standout in their promotion push, which ended in the play-off final. His composure under pressure drew praise, with some observers naming him among the division’s best young defenders.

The centre-back stepped up to the Premier League on loan with Brighton, making 17 appearances. Under Roberto De Zerbi, he developed further as a ball-playing centre-back, helping Brighton secure a club-record 6th-place finish and European qualification. His performances led to speculation about a permanent move, but Chelsea opted to bring him back and integrate him into the first team.

2023–24 Season

Returning to Stamford Bridge, Colwill became a regular under Mauricio Pochettino, making 35 appearances in all competitions. He scored his first Chelsea goal in a 2–1 win over Crystal Palace and was part of a defence that showed notable improvement over the season. His versatility also saw him occasionally deployed at left-back when required.

2024–25 Season

Colwill built on his breakthrough year, playing a central role in Chelsea’s UEFA Europa Conference League victory and their FIFA Club World Cup triumph. His ability to step out from defence to start attacks and his aerial dominance in both boxes were key elements in the team’s success.

2025–26 Season

In a major setback, Colwill suffered an ACL injury in pre-season and missed the entire campaign.
