Before Chelsea
Liam Delap began his journey through Manchester City’s academy after moving from Derby County, swiftly establishing himself as a high-potential forward. Although senior opportunities at City were limited, he gained valuable experience on loan at Stoke City and Preston North End, before an electric season at Hull City in the Championship in 2023–24. There, he scored eight goals in 31 league appearances and earned broader acclaim for his power and finishing ability.
In 2024, Delap transferred to Ipswich Town, where he truly flourished—scoring 12 Premier League goals in a single season despite the club’s relegation.
